Here is a demo/handout I did for a class I will be teaching @LAAFA
[link] starting August 2.It is an animal design class in which we will splitting our time between the LA Zoo and in class sessions. Where I will be teaching how to use the zoo studies in the craft of character design. The drawing is definitely stiff but trying to communicate the importance of construction and volume, using conceptual 3 dimensional forms

Oh yeah, Joe was his teacher I remember at first seeing so much similarity in David's work with Joe's but as time went on he started building on that unique style Joe has. Also with a totally new aspect of appealing cartoon techniques, are there similarities sure but all great work I think is inspired by great work:-)
