Here are a few pages of concepts for an illustration job I have been working on. Its for a school logo using the cougar mascot. I posted all the images I have done, even the poorly roughed in ones so you can see my thinking. I like seeing the quick studies b/c it allows us to see inside the artist's thought process
School Mascot eh? I was was commissioned to do that sort of thing a while back, only with a panther.
If I hadn't weighed the thing down with cross hatching and had any sort of computer skills at the time, I'd have probably had something a fraction as good as what you're shaping up here.

I like seeing the quick studies b/c it allows us to see inside the artist's thought process Same here, it's awesome to take a look...as well as find something that can be applied to one's knowledge of drawing.
I really like this set David, showing both the bulk and gesture of your sketches.

These out of your head or referenced from life/video?
Really sweet either way. Gotta ask, do you find yourself watching for a really long time before you make line 1 on the page, or observe as you go and build on what you initially saw? I know the two aren't mutually exclusive, but in my experience (mostly drawing people) they don't hang around long enough to careful observe THEN draw.
The head on number 1 has really interesting shapes, and I love the thickness to the tail.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
The Cutting Edge is a weekly article that features brand new selected high quality art products that caught our eyes. Check out the cutting edge prints some of your fellow artists have submitted in the past week!
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant.
