Artist's Comments

page from my sketchbook from my animal character design class, at the zoo. MY students were drawing the jaguar for their assignment but I decided to draw the King Vulture, a bird I have never drawn before

Great drawings!
Love your style, it's sketchy... yet it looks very neat at the same time.

Nice work mate. Good to see a focus on sound drawings rather than bling. Kids around here could learn a thing or two from you.
:icontamiveldura:
Interesting. The wings are rather short compared to other birds...

Cool work, the bird really has personality. Is it a good idea to make studies caricatures? I'm just wondering if drawing a 100% photo copy teaches more... But I suppose that's impossible anyways when drawing moving animals or people.
:iconlavendark:
You have a really great style to your drawings. Did you work straight in pen for this piece or do you rough it out in pencil first?
:iconmattroper:
These are really awesome.

Gotta love the vultures...
Beautiful sketches as always...
Thanks for sharing...
Take care

Why do it, if it isn't fun?

i dont get it, do u just look at it and memorise what it looks like? coz surely it doesnt hold its pose for very long
:iconblithegirl:
